LucidCut is designed as a local-first application. Your video and audio files never leave your device. This policy explains what limited data we do collect and why.
| Category | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address, name (from Clerk sign-in) | Authentication, subscription management |
| Billing | Subscription ID, payment status, renewal date (from Razorpay) | Access control, billing history |
| Project backup (optional) | Project metadata JSON (clip names, timeline structure, settings — no media bytes) | Cloud sync and cross-device restore |
| Waitlist | Email address entered on landing page | Pre-launch invite queue |
| Crash / error logs | Stack traces, app version, OS version (via Sentry, if enabled) | Bug diagnosis |
We do not collect or transmit your video files, audio files, or any media assets.
When you use AI-assisted editing, prompts and chat messages are sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Azure) using API keys you supply. We do not log or store these interactions. Review the relevant provider's privacy policy for how they handle API data.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing mvkbhat.official@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Project backups are stored encrypted at rest in Convex. Billing data is handled solely by Razorpay — we do not store card numbers or bank details.
LucidCut is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.
We may update this policy. Continued use after the updated "Last updated" date constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified in-app.
